Dr. Courtney Kim
Dr. Courtney Kim earned her Bachelor of Dentistry at the University of Sydney in 2008. She gained hands-on experience as a licensed dentist while working in rural NSW, Sydney’s north shore metro, and in Singapore. Dr. Kim keeps abreast of the latest technology and science through her extensive involvement of continuing dental course participation and has a special interest in preventative dentistry, fixed prosthodontics and orthodontics. She is a self-confessed “lover of learning.” Compassionate and gentle by nature, her patients feel relaxed during procedures. Dr. Kim is registered with the AHPRA Dental Board, the Singapore Dental Council and is also a member of the Australian Dental Association. Outside dentistry, she enjoys family life with her young family and is busy teaching Korean to her young son.
Dr. Josephine Ahn
Dr. Josephine Ahn earned the Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago in 2009. She has further advanced post graduate training in General Dental Practice, obtaining membership in the prestigious Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, Australia. Dr Ahn has experience in working as a House Dental Surgeon at Southerland Hospital, New Zealand providing dental treatments with medically compromised patients and closely working with oral and maxillofacial surgeon. She also has further orthodontic training completed and is waiting to receive her post graduate diploma in orthodontics. Her area of expertise are wisdom teeth surgery, minor oral surgery and orthodontics.She is passionate about helping others and is a regular volunteer providing dental treatments in Papua New Guinea. Outside dentistry, she is an active member of Choir at a local church and is fluent in Korean.
Dr. Cecilia So
Dr Cecilia So provides expertise in dental implants, surgical extractions and wisdom teeth surgery on a visiting basis. Dr So completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at University of Sydney in 2003, graduating with honours. Dr So advanced her training in the department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal Exeter and Devon hospitals in the United Kingdom, and completed Fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 2006. Dr So also achieved her Graduate Diploma of Oral Implants (Usyd) in 2010 and is now part of the steering committee for the program. She is an examiner for University of Sydney in both Oral Implants and Oral Surgery, and a mentor and visiting lecturer in Oral Implant Diploma. She has a kind and caring nature and always has her patient’s best interests at heart.
Li Sue ensures that our practice runs smoothly and provides a warm welcome at the front desk. She is currently undertaking further studies in Dental Assisting to help formalise her work experiences and holds a current senior first aid certificate and an infection control certificate. Lee has worked more than 8 years at dental clinics, and her heart in dentistry comes from building relationships with the patients that we care for. With a Bachelor of Arts in media and cultural studies and a master of interpreting and translation, she has a passion and a deep understanding of people. She actively particpates in various sports such as snowboarding, skating, motorcross bike riding, kayaking etc. She loves spending time with her fluffy friend – Oly
Fiona assists our dentists in the treatment rooms and is an integral member of our practice. Fiona holds a Certificate III in dental assisting and has had many years of experience working in dental clinics. She find it most rewarding helping patients build their confidence and ensuring a pleasurable visit to the dentist. Fiona is a fluent Mandarin speaker and is also certified in first aids, infection control and enjoys the further education courses provided by the Bentleigh Dental Care.
Sarah provides assistance both in and out of the treatment rooms at Bentleigh Dental Care. Working outside the clinic Sarah visits preschools in the area teaching children all about healthy habits,brushing their teeth and what happens when you go to the dentist. Sarah also works within the clinic assisting the dentists in the treatment room. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Masters of Occupational therapy. In addition to this, Sarah loves working with children, helping them to learn and grow and has over 10 years of childcare experience. Sarah also holds her first aid certificate, working with children’s check and bronze medallion in surf lifesaving. Sarah is really passionate about continually increasing her skills and is currently studying to become an Australian sign language interpreter.
