News

Dear patients,

Following the prime minister’s announcement on Tuesday, starting from 28th of April 2020 we are able to see patients for

  1. Examinations
  2. Fillings (with the use of special water proof protective material over the mouth)
  3. Non-surgical extractions
  4. Dentures
  5. Preventative procedures such as topical fluoride applications
  6. Orthodontic treatment
  7. Medical management of soft tissue presentations such as ulcers
  8. Temporomandibular dysfunction management

At this stage, we are not able provide dental cleaning using scalers and provide surgical procedures.

We would advise you when you can come back for your regular oral hygiene appointment and for surgical procedures as restrictions get lifted.

To make sure our surgery is safe for you, we have added the following procedures on top of our standard infection control procedures.

We ask that only one patient attends to the surgery for treatment except children and those who need carers as we will not be operating our waiting room.

Patients will be asked screening questions before the appointment and on arrival.

Temperature of the patient will be taken on arrival and hand hygiene practice is asked on arrival and on leaving the practice.

Patients will be asked to rinse their mouth with mouth rinse prior to the treatment.

On top of this, we are also offering virtual assessment and live video consultations.

If you prefer to talk to the dentist at home, please call the surgery to arrange a video consultation. The fee is set at $45 for up to 30 minutes of video consultation.

We also provide a free virtual assessment report based on shots of selfie photos on our website. If you have friends or family who would like dental screening, this may benefit them.

We hope your family is keeping well and we will keep updating you as restrictions get eased further.

Best regards,

Dr Courtney Kim
